Refund policy

Our products are instant digital downloads, so the usual rules for physical returns don't apply. Here's how we handle refunds — and our promise to always look after you.
Digital downloads
Because your files are delivered instantly and can't be 'returned', we generally don't offer refunds on digital products once they've been downloaded. This is standard for instant-download art and is noted at checkout.
EU right of withdrawal (digital content)
For customers in the EU: digital content supplied on a non-physical medium is exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal once supply has begun, where you have given prior express consent and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB / Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive).
By completing checkout you expressly consent to immediate delivery of your download and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the download begins. This does not affect your legal rights if a file is faulty.
Our happiness promise
That said, we never want you stuck with something that isn't right. If a file is corrupted, the wrong item was delivered, or you've had genuine trouble printing, email care@japandihausprints.com within 30 days and we'll fix it — a replacement file, the correct files, or a refund where it's warranted.
Before you buy
A couple of things worth checking first, so you get exactly what you expect:
- These are digital files to print yourself — no physical print is shipped
- Colours can vary slightly between screens and printers; we calibrate for true, warm neutrals
- Five ratios are included, but please check your frame size against the list
Duplicate or accidental orders
Bought the same design twice, or ordered by mistake before downloading? Email us straight away and we'll sort a refund for the duplicate.
